Conceived within the framework of the UIC Night Train Working Group, the document arises from the conception of a new paradigm for this type of service, which is of interest to the European Commission and many countries, as well as to contribute to two fundamental issues: the need of experts and decision-makers to respond to the climate emergency and the will to reinforce the role of the railway as the backbone of mobility.

Visual format

With a very visual format, numerous graphic and cartographic contents and an overview of the geographic areas of work of the UIC, the document will contain information related to the characteristics of the service, reflecting data such as the operator, territorial coverage, route length, speed, travel time, etc.. Data will also include rolling stock, on-board equipment, operation and management, with traffic periods, composition at origin and destination, capacity, public and private contributions to its operation, information for the user and other details.
