Comsa completes construction of Évora Norte-Freixo rail section in Portugal

(31/10/2024)

The main actions carried out include a 20.5 km platform and a technical station, as well as the construction of six railway viaducts and several overpasses, underpasses and agricultural crossings. These works will allow the future doubling of the track, favouring the connection between industrial and urban areas in Portugal, Spain and the rest of Europe.

This section, integrated into the future International Southern Corridor, is a project that is part of the modernisation programme of the National Railway Network in Portugal and is co-financed by the European Union.
