The `Niñas al tren de la ciencia y la tecnología´ (`Girls on the Train of Science and Technology´) project has released the first of three videos, in English and Spanish, that form part of this initiative. The aim of these actions is to attract female talent to the transport sector and to promote gender equality and the empowerment of girls and women through education in railway-related areas.

The video, published in English and Spanish, focuses on the importance of the role of women in the world of railway science and technology, the gender gap in the labour market and the positive impact that the railway sector has on societal advancement.
Its production has involved the collaboration of institutions and companies such as the Railway Infrastructure Administrator (Adif), Alstom, CAF, Euskotren, Hitachi Rail, Iryo, LFP Perthus, Metro Ligero Oeste, Redalsa, Renfe, Siemens Mobility España, Talgo, TMB and Tram, which have contributed different audiovisual materials with their workers as protagonists.
The ‘Girls on the Train of Science and Technology’ project has been promoted by the Subdirectorate of Strategy, Innovation and Training of the Spanish Railway Foundation, which takes part in the ‘STEAM Alliance for Female Talent. Girls on the Science Stand’ initiative of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
