The objective is to develop the first use cases applied to transportation to examine its potential and evaluate the balance between the physical and virtual world. BIM 6D technology has been chosen considering that it offers a wide range of development possibilities among which they include virtual trains and stations, the digital twins of the entire infrastructure, users connected to each other with avatars that travel routes and railways in the present, recreating the past and imagining the future.
BIM 6D is a digitization company with experience in the architecture, engineering, construction and operations sector, specialized in projects for buildings and infrastructures in which it uses CAD, 2D, 3D, BIM technologies.
The proposal presented for the TrenLab program is based on an immersive experience aimed at improving the passenger experience and Renfe’s internal management. Through three-dimensional and virtual travel models, “its technology opens possibilities for profound transformations, for example, between the way in which people relate to transportation. Thanks to Renfe, people will be able, through this experience of direct and bidirectional connection in the metaverse with their users, to be attentive to their needs, communicate with them, and help them make their experience as effective and satisfactory as possible”.
