The Spanish operator is carrying out actions in France aimed at both the launch of high-speed commercial services (Paris-Lyon-Marseille), and the provision of public services (in the Grand-Est and Haûts de France regions).

To this end, Renfe has begun procedures to create a branch in Paris that will develop transport services in France, as well as complementary activities related to transport, carrying out representation functions of the Spanish parent company.

Renfe’s Strategic Plan 2019-2023-2028 considers as one of the pillars of the company’s strategy to promote the internationalization process. The operator has the objective that 10 percent of its total revenues come from foreign operations, both in high-speed and in public service, within a period of 10 years.
