The Spanish Railway Association (Mafex) has coordinated the grouped participation of seven companies in the TransMEA fair, which took place in New Cairo, Egypt, until 11th November 2021.

Aquafrisch, Hispacold, Talleres Alegría, Typsa, Zitron, CAF and Patentes Talgo were present in TransMEA, which was organized in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Transport and brought together the main regional and international actors to show the new solutions related to transport and logistics services.
The fair offered a congress programme that covered innovative solutions in digital technology, data analysis, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, automation, digital transformation, and disruptive technologies, among others.
Egypt will carry out in the coming years various megaprojects such as the start-up of the first high-speed line in the country, the signalling of the lines from Alexandria to Cairo, and from Beni Suef to Nag Hammadi, the modernization of Line 2 of the Cairo metro, the future Lines 5 and 6, the Abu-Qir metro project, the extension of the Alexandria tramway, as well as the acquisition and rehabilitation of rolling stock.
