Renfe has added from April 8 a new frequency of AVE (Spanish High Speed) per direction between Barcelona and Madrid that will stop at Zaragoza and Camp de Tarragona and will continue to Marseille (France).

The new frequency, heading north, will leave Madrid at 1:25 p.m., with stops at Zaragoza, Camp de Tarragona, Barcelona-Sants, Girona and Figueres-Vilafant stations. It will then continue to Marseille. In the opposite direction, it will pass through the Barcelona-Sants station at 12:50 p.m., arriving at its destination at 3:45 p.m. This new frequency also allows AVE services in Zaragoza and Camp de Tarragona to be increased.

The new connection to Marseille is added to the existing ones that link Barcelona with Paris and Lyon and are part of Renfe’s plans to connect Spain and France with high-speed trains in a comfortable and sustainable way.
