Lantania to renovate tram line in the city of Lodz, Poland



Lantania´s Polish subsidiary, Balzola Polska, has been awarded the contract for the renovation of a tram line in the city of Lodz, the fourth most populated city in Poland.

Lantania will carry out the renovation of a 4.2 km long tram line, including the stone paving of unpaved pavements. It will also build the catenary and all underground networks, plus traffic lights, and will carry out landscaping works. Work will begin before the end of the year and is scheduled to last 10 months.

Balzola Polska, founded in 2008 and whose headquarters is in Warsaw, plans to close this financial year with a turnover of 38.1 million Euros. Highlights of its railway works include the construction of new tram lines in the cities of Warsaw, Torum and Gdansk, and the upgrading of the Mokotow tram depot in Warsaw.
