Iryo launches Madrid-Barcelona connection




The high-speed operator has launched its services between Madrid, Zaragoza and Barcelona. After this first connection, it will follow Valencia in December. The connections from Madrid to Seville, Malaga, Antequera and Cordoba will come on March 31st, 2023, while the Madrid-Alicante route via Albacete is expected to start running from the 2nd of June.


Iryo launches Madrid-Barcelona connection

The operator starts these commercial services with 32 trains daily, 16 in each direction, which means an Iryo train between Madrid and Barcelona every hour. The offer includes four fares to choose from: Infinita, Singular Only You, Singular and Inicial, of which three are aimed at business passengers.

In addition, Iryo has designed a unique catering through its own brand, ‘Haizea’. All seats have individual armrests equipped with USB sockets, and all fares include on-board entertainment and free WiFi access. Premium and Business tickets also include a special customer service.
