During the closing ceremony of the 1st Sustainability Forum, organised by the CCI France-Espagne, the Minister emphasised the importance of the development of the cross-border rail connections in order to accelerate the decarbonisation of freight and passenger transport, an area in which Spain is committed to the railway as a key lever to meet emissions reduction targets.

France is Spain’s first client and the third of its suppliers, following Germany and China. Spanish exports to France are around 60,000 million and imports surpass 40,000 million. More than 1,300 French companies are present in Spain, their accumulated investment exceeding 60 billion Euros, and they provide direct employment to nearly 380,000 workers.
