(24/09/2024)
The scope of work for the project includes works at three main locations along the tramway line in the Glenelg area and along the entire corridor, grade separation, modifications of the existing tram overpass at South Road, and replacement of the level crossings at Marion Road, Cross Road and Morphett Road with tram overpasses.

In addition, works will involve intersection upgrades, tram depot upgrades at Glengowrie, and a temporary rolling stock maintenance depot on Peacock Road. The project will also include improvements to signalling systems and the creation of new public spaces. Site investigations to inform planning are underway. Major construction will start in late 2024 and the level crossings will be removed by the end of 2025.
