OHLA is awarded Lot 3 of Salvador de Bahía tramway in Brazil

The Transport Company of the State of Bahía has awarded a consortium including the participation of OHLA the project for Lot 3 of the Salvador de Bahía tramway between Aguas Claras and Piatã. The contract amounts to 140 million Euros.

The contract for the execution of Lot 3 between Aguas Claras and Piatã includes the construction of a 10.5 km stretch that runs through the centre of one of the city’s main avenues. Additionally, the project will involve the construction of eight surface stations, an interchange station with the metro, a 620-metre long viaduct with a prefabricated deck, and reinforced earth walls. The project also includes the supply and installation of energy systems (catenary and electrical substations) and urban development works.
